Responsibilities:
In collaboration with product management the candidate will develop GUI prototypes to present to customers (internal and external) for critical analysis. Once approved‚ these iterfaces will be integrated into back end systems.
Modularize and brand the client interfaces
Establish GUI guidelines for other team members in accordance with requirements.
Must construct well-structured design documentation.
Degreed engineer in telecommunications‚ computer Science‚ or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
Extensive "human factors" experience.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of object oriented methodology and java is required.
Knowledge of webservices
Knowledge of SQL
5+ years Java UI development preferable in a telecommunications/network management environment
Deep understanding of Java UI technologies including: Swing/AWT‚ Eclipse SWT.
Experience with IBM JTGO preferred
Experience with source code control system such as IBM Clear Case‚ PVCS‚ etc
In-depth experience with Eclipse filesystem and common navigator frameworks a plus
Experience interfacing with distributed complex applications leveraging data grids
Experience in the full product development lifecycle
