Provide remote technical support to customers for network management software‚ database and operating system issues
Perform on-call activities as required
Compile and submit defect reports by performing investigations and in-house reproduction of software failures
Perform validation testing of software fixes and release prior to installation on customer systems
Gather and compile data and statistics for issues worked for inclusion in metrics and documentation
Provide remote support to field engineers during field installations and configurations.
Educational Requirements:
Degreed engineer in Telecommunications and Networks‚ Computer Science or related field. Advanced Degree preferred
Relevant Experience and other Requirements:
Fluent verbal and written English is a must
Experience in:
Java application support with a client/server model
Apache log4j
Windows 2003/2008 Server
Oracle Database‚ including RAC‚ and SQL
Experience in the following areas is a plus:
Network Management
SNMP Protocol
TL1 Protocol
3GPP Protocol
SUN Solaris Administration
Software Testing
